What is an STD is a question that has been asked time and again.
This question is in fact asked more in the 21st century that is characterized by an increase in sexually transmitted diseases caused by one reason or the other. STD is an acronym for Sexually Transmitted diseases which are also referred to as Sexually Transmitted Infections that is they are passed from one individual to the next by way of engaging in sexual intercourse as well as other sexual activities like oral sex. Some of the STDs can be transmitted by other related channels such as shared needles and other sharp objects with infected persons for instance drug users.
